How to Level Up
Learn the EXP system, the +5 level rule, and the best training zones for your current level.
How to Level Up
The Experience (EXP) System
Every time you kill a monster or complete a quest, you receive experience points (EXP). EXP required for leveling follows an exponential progression, so each level needs much more than the previous one.
This means the early levels are fast, but from around level 30-40 the process becomes much slower.
The +5 Level Rule
If a monster is more than 5 levels above you, you will not receive experience for killing it.
This rule also applies to quest turn-ins: if the quest level exceeds your current level by more than 5, you do not receive the EXP reward.
Example: if you are level 20, monsters up to level 25 still give EXP. A level 26 monster gives no experience.
Optimal Training Strategy
- Always prioritize quests. They award large amounts of EXP and accelerate the early grind dramatically.
- Target monsters that are 4 or 5 levels above you. That is the sweet spot between EXP gained and time spent.

Levels 60 - 65: World Bosses (Tornados)
- Special mechanic: Levels 61 through 65 cannot be gained by killing normal monsters or completing quests. The only way to level up is by defeating the open world bosses.
- The three tornados:
- Celestial Tornado
- Elusive Tornado
- Sky Tornado
- Spawn: Each tornado respawns approximately 4 hours after being defeated, on a random castle map (maps 8-13, 29-31, 69). With all three tornados on staggered timers, one typically appears roughly every hour, though timing can vary.
- Notification: When a tornado appears, all players receive a chat alert indicating which tornado has spawned and on which map.
- Bonuses: Levels 61-65 do not grant health or mana; instead, they grant magic/physical damage and resistance/armor.
- Loot: In addition to experience, they can drop chests (rare or epic) and the special level 60 items (robes, jackets, and armors).
Group Tip
When playing in a group, EXP is shared among members on the same map. The share percentage can be configured in the group interface. Group play may be less efficient for solo leveling, but it is ideal for farming very difficult monster zones.
