Major Update - Artifacts (2.3.0)

The biggest update yet! New open world bosses, a revolutionary artifact system, player-to-player trading, and major changes to the game’s economy.


⚔️ 5 Special Levels & Open World Bosses

  • New max level: 65 — But these 5 additional levels cannot be gained through standard means.
  • 3 new open world bosses — Three tornados that spawn in the world, each with a chance to drop the new items. These bosses are the only way to level past 60.
  • Special bonuses — Levels 61-65 don’t grant health or mana. Instead, they grant magic/physical damage and resistance/armor.
  • More experience — Experience gained from monsters between level 1 and 60 has been increased by 10-18%.

🛡️ New Items

There are now 9 new items: 3 robes, 3 jackets, and 3 armors.

  • Can only be equipped at level 60 and grant special attributes.
  • Cannot be crafted — obtained from epic or rare chests.

🏺 Artifact System

A new artifact system has been added: rare items that grant special and unique powers, quite difficult to obtain.

Chests

Various types of chests with different material and gold rewards. Not lost on death.

Rare Artifacts

Scrolls, rings, orbs, runes… artifacts that appear in chests or from certain NPCs with extremely low drop rates. They grant special powers when used. Not lost on death.


🤝 Trading

The ability to trade with other players has been added for both items and gold.

  • You can trade a maximum of 8 items from your inventory.
  • Once an item is offered, it becomes locked until the trade is accepted/rejected or the item is withdrawn.
  • New keyboard shortcuts for trading (see Usability section).

💰 Economy

The game’s economy was infinite — everything was preserved while NPCs dropped items. This broke any economy in the medium-long term. We’ve implemented ways to create scarcity so items have real value.

New Durability System

  • Items now have a chance to break when dropped on death.
  • When this happens, they transform into “junk”, making it easy to see when an item broke.
  • The probability is low, but with the cycle of dying, reviving, and looting, items will become increasingly scarce.

💡 With this change, not everyone will always be fully geared. That’s why weaker items exist: for when you don’t want to risk your best equipment.


🛒 EOCoin Purchases

  • Race change for EOCoins.
  • Face change for EOCoins.
  • 50% experience boost for EOCoins.

We’ll be adding more purchases like skins and additional services over time.


✨ Changes & Improvements

  • When a clan member connects or disconnects, you receive a chat and alert notification.
  • When a friend connects or disconnects, you receive a chat and alert notification.
  • When crafting, profession skill updates in real-time and new available items appear immediately.
  • Added description system for items like chests and materials.
  • Added Moderator role for GMs to have field GMs with limited actions (healthy gameplay without corruption).
  • In unsafe maps, any action cancels disconnection during the 12-second wait.
  • When Eternatus or any special BOSS appears, all users receive a notification.

🛠️ Fixes

  • When leaving a clan, you no longer see that clan’s chat messages (also when kicked).
  • Archer traps now work against your own clan members in Arena/Tournament maps.
  • Archer traps no longer work against ghosts.
  • Chat can now be used even when disabled.
  • Opening chat now resets all keys to their “unpressed” state (prevents stuck movement bugs).
  • Fixed the text when gathering from current skills.

🎮 Usability

Bank Shortcuts (PC)

Chat Improvements

  • Reduced cooldown for typing in all chats (general, clan, group, whispers).
  • With chat open, UP arrow fills in the last sent message.
  • DOWN arrow returns to your previous text.
  • Chat stores message history even when disabled.

Other Improvements

  • Gold gains now show with a floating text on the character.
  • Experience now displays two decimal places for better clarity.

⚔️ Class Changes

🏹 Archer

  • Archers no longer need arrow quantities to attack.
  • Arrows are no longer consumed when attacking.
  • You must equip the desired arrow and it will remain like any other item.
  • All existing arrows have been deleted, leaving each archer with one arrow of their level equipped.

🗡️ Assassin

The Assassin has been too strong for a long time, being the only class that kills extremely easily. We’ve adjusted its potential to extend PvP fights and balance it with other classes, without losing its aggressive essence.

Backstab Changes:

  • No longer deals double damage instantly.
  • Instead, applies a bleed that deals damage over time (2 ticks, one per second).
  • Total damage is higher than the previous backstab.
  • Backstab chance adjusted to 33% (from behind is still 100%).

Dagger Changes:

  • Base dagger damage has increased.
  • New level 30 dagger for more variety.
  • Level 45 dagger is now level 50.

💡 If the enemy doesn’t heal quickly, they’ll die from the bleed. If they heal, the bleed after healing + combo without backstab can still kill them. This keeps the Assassin aggressive and uncomfortable in group PvP.


🏆 Season Reset

Castle Season 2 has ended. Points have been reset and rewards delivered.

📅 The next season ends on February 28th.

🔧 Artifact Update Improvements (2.3.1)


🌪️ World Bosses Activated!

With a cooldown of approximately 4 hours after death, the following bosses will spawn in the world at different times:

  • Celestial Tornado
  • Elusive Tornado
  • Sky Tornado

These World Bosses are the ones that allow you to level past 60 and drop chests (rare or epic) or the new items (you can guess by the names 😉).


🌐 Global

  • Trash rate (item break probability) slightly reduced while we monitor the impact on the global economy.
  • Reduced Infernal Demon level from 60 to 59. No changes to health, damage, or experience — this is just to prevent it from dropping the new armors.
  • Maximum points per win/loss in Arena 1v1 is now 35 (prevents gaining/losing too many points against opponents with very different ratings).
  • It now shows in chat when you kill another player.
  • When a friend or clan member connects/disconnects, it now only shows in chat, not in floating alerts.

🛠️ Fixes

  • Fixed the name display when receiving damage from NPCs.
  • Changed Arena 1v1 description (you no longer lose or win everything 😅).
  • Fixed trade rejection display when someone changes something — now shows properly for both users.
  • Fixed quests.
  • Fixed JoyStick on mobile.
  • Inventory items no longer temporarily disappear when dying in the Arena 1v1 map.
  • Fixed the Brown Hood item.
  • Fixed naked characters appearing invisible in character selection.

⚔️ PvP Changes

🗡️ Assassin

The Assassin regains some health to make it slightly more resilient now that it has lost some aggressive impact.

  • Max health increased to 620 — This may seem like a small difference, but it’s key to dying much less in group fights (no longer dies from paladin physical attack + mage magic or similar combinations).
  • Now spends slightly less mana on offensive spells for more versatility.
  • Secondary spell now has a PvE mana cost to allow farming without issues.
