Major 1st Anniversary Update! - 2.6.0

Eternum Online turns one year old! This major 2.6.0 update opens the celebration with new content: islands, artifacts, and clan territories arrive. We have also redesigned character creation and character select, added a low performance mode, rebuilt the spell HUD (keyboard hotkeys, mobile triggers, and rapid-cast), and adjusted PvP balance.

🏝️ Islands

Every player can found their own island: a private map to build, store items, and invite others. In Nix, talk to the Coleccionista to create one or travel.

Founding your island costs 1,000,000 gold. You can only own one.

Islands

What’s on the island

The island comes with a bank, priest, market, city teleporter, a furniture vendor, and NPCs to configure and upgrade the land.

By default it is a safe map: nobody can attack other players. The owner can turn that protection off if visitors should be able to fight.

Guests

At level 1 the owner can grant access to 5 players, even if they are offline. Each island level adds 2 more guests (up to 23 at level 10). Each guest has a role:

  • Visit: enter the island and look around. They cannot build or change chests.
  • Edit: place decoration, use chests, and rearrange items.

The same character can be invited to a maximum of 10 islands.

Building and decoration

On the island you can buy trees, pines, rocks, and chests. They are placed from the inventory, only on your island (or on one where you have the edit role). They cannot be dropped on the ground or sold on the market.

  • Trees and pines: 200,000 gold
  • Rocks: 300,000 gold
  • Chest: 3,000,000 gold. It has 27 slots. Visit-only guests can open a chest to see what is inside; depositing, taking, or rearranging items requires the edit role.

There is a cap on useful buildings (chests) and decoration based on island level. At level 1 you can place 2 useful and 5 decorations. At level 10, 16 useful and 56 decorations.

Leveling up

The island mage lets you raise it to level 10. Each level costs gold and profession materials of increasing rarity (iron, cloth, and wood at first; later silver, gold, eternite, and their lumber and skinning counterparts). Leveling up raises those building caps and the guest limit.

Resource upgrades

You can also unlock expert mining, expert lumberjacking, and expert skinning. Each costs 1,500,000 gold plus materials from that profession.

With the upgrade active, every hour a resource of that profession can appear on the island. There is only one of each type at a time: if you do not gather it, another will not spawn. Rarity is not fixed; the basic material is the most common, and now and then a mystic or ethereal one can appear.

⚔️ Clan territories

Clans can conquer territories in the world. Each territory has a Guardian (level 50) and a loot chest. You must be in a clan to take part.

Territories

There are four territories, all on forest maps:

  • Maps 29 and 9 — same schedule
  • Maps 69 and 13 — same schedule

Each territory is conquered on its own. If two are open at once, the clan may have to split.

Schedule

Each territory opens three 1-hour windows every day. Times are anchored to UTC and do not shift with daylight saving.

Maps 29 and 9 — 14:00, 18:00 and 23:00 UTC

  • UTC−3 (Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil…): 11:00, 15:00 and 20:00
  • CEST UTC+2 (Spain, France, Italy… in summer): 16:00, 20:00 and 01:00. In winter (CET UTC+1) it is one hour earlier.

Maps 69 and 13 — 12:00, 20:00 and 01:00 UTC

  • UTC−3 (Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil…): 09:00, 17:00 and 22:00
  • CEST UTC+2 (Spain, France, Italy… in summer): 14:00, 22:00 and 03:00. In winter, one hour earlier.

The whole server gets a warning 30, 15, and 5 minutes before, and another when each conquest starts.

How to conquer

  1. During the window, defeat the territory Guardian.
  2. Your clan starts holding the territory: you must last 15 minutes. The whole server gets a notice that your clan has claimed that map.
  3. Another clan can kill the Guardian and steal the capture: the timer resets.
  4. If you hold for 15 minutes, the territory is conquered and the chest opens only for that clan. 8 piles of 45,000 gold drop around the Guardian (360,000 in total).
  5. The whole server gets a notice: Clan X has conquered the territory of map 29 (or whichever map it is).

While your clan is holding the territory, you cannot attack your own Guardian. Once the chest is lootable, the Guardian can no longer be attacked and the map timer stops.

If the window ends while you are still holding, you can finish those 15 minutes. If another clan downs the Guardian outside the window, the capture is voided and the loot is lost.

The chest

The base loot is rolled when the window opens: 4 to 8 items. Each slot is rolled on its own: the same item can drop more than once. On conquest, the winning clan gets 2 extra items for every 500 clan points (a clan with 1,200 points gets 4 extras).

The chest has 27 slots, like island chests. You can only take items; you cannot put anything in. Whatever you do not collect vanishes when the next window starts.

Possible loot

Not every item is equally likely. Level 50 gear and basic materials are the most common. Level 60 gear and better materials drop less often. Clan items and power artifacts are very rare.

Gold: on conquest, 8 piles of 45,000 drop around the Guardian (360,000 in total).

Level 50 gear (1–5): Mage Staff, Bloody Dagger, Celestial Bow, Knight Helmet, Baldur Shield, Purifier Sword, Dark Hat, Dark Hood, Ethereal Arrow, Chaos Orb, Magic Robe (High), Assassin Robe (High), Hitman Robe (Dark), Sinister Armor (Dark).

Level 60 gear (1–3): Celestial Armor (Dark), Sky Armor (High), Slippery Armor, Celestial Jacket, Celestial Robe, Sky Robe, Slippery Robe, Sky Jacket, Slippery Jacket.

Profession materials

  • Wood, iron and cloth: 300–900
  • Oak wood, silver and leather: 150–450
  • Mystic wood, gold and mystic cloth: 60–180
  • Ethereal wood, eternite and ethereal cloth: 24–75
  • Diamond, amber and twine thread: 5–10
  • Blue diamond, mystic amber and eternal thread: 5–10 (rarer than the ones above)

Chests (1): Common Chest, Uncommon Chest, Rare Chest and Epic Chest.

Clan (1, very rare): Dragon Wing, Dragon Skull, Clan Egg and Trophy.

Power artifacts (1, very rare): Lindos Rune, Scroll of Knowledge, Ring of Power, Pandora’s Box, Veil of Arghal and Eternite Pickaxe.

On the map

Maps with a territory are marked on the world map with a red frame. During the window the frame is emphasized and you will see the remaining time; after conquest that countdown stops. The map info panel shows a Conquest block.

🏺 Artifacts

Artifacts are rare items that can be used. They are consumed on activation and are not lost on death. When someone uses a power artifact (not a chest), the whole server gets a notice with the player’s name, the artifact, and the map.

Where to find them

  • World Tornados and Eternatus
  • Dungeon bosses
  • Epic chests
  • Clan territory chests (very rare)

Lindos Rune

When used, it protects your inventory. The next time you die on a map where items drop, you will not lose anything. The effect ends after that death. While it is active, your character shows a purple aura.

Scroll of Knowledge

When used, any professions you already know with less than 200 skills are raised to 200. It does not teach new professions.

Ring of Power

When used, it doubles all your damage (against players and monsters) until you die, regardless of the map. While it is active, your character shows a red aura.

Pandora’s Box

When opened, after 5 seconds it deals lethal damage to players in a large area from your position who are not in your party or clan. It cannot be used on safe maps.

Veil of Arghal

When used, for 90 seconds nobody can use invisibility on that map except you. Invisible characters are revealed, except the artifact owner. It cannot be used on safe maps.

Eternite Pickaxe

When used, for 5 minutes all materials you gather (mining, skinning or lumberjacking) are doubled.

⚙️ Low performance mode

In Settings, under Performance, you can turn on low performance mode. It cuts heavy visual effects (glows, particles, and HUD animations) so the game runs more smoothly on older phones or modest PCs. It applies immediately and is saved with the rest of your settings.

🔥 Spells: hotkeys and rapid cast

You can now bind spells to the keyboard in Settings (spells 1 to 8). On mobile it works too: shortcuts and controller triggers count the same. You do not need a keyboard to keep spells at hand.

Keep a spell marked and cast without stopping

This is the piece so mobile does not fall behind PC, and can even win on combat pace.

On mobile:

  1. Tap the spell to select it.
  2. Double-tap the same icon quickly. If the second tap is slow, you cancel the cast (same as before).
  3. The spell stays marked (the border spins). Every tap on the map casts it without deselecting.
  4. To leave: tap that spell again, or try to cast before the cooldown is ready.

The spell stays ready, so you can keep tapping the ground instead of hunting the icon for every shot.

Fair play

Any program that aims for you or casts spells on your own character is still forbidden and will be penalized. Hotkeys and rapid cast live in the client; outside helpers do not.

Intervals

We have slightly increased the spell and arrow interval to compensate for these tools, keep combat balanced, and hold equality across devices.

⚖️ PvP balance

We are tuning a few combat abilities so Warrior melee leaves clearer windows, and so max-rank heals and the Paladin’s finishing spells sit on a better cost curve.

Warrior

The Warrior’s attack power is excessive: it leaves no room for defense, and with the interval changes it will also be harder to kill. We want to keep its aggressive essence while reducing how easily it can kill without any defense.

  • Physical attack: on a melee hit, Whirlwind and War Leap (every rank, including Deadly Whirlwind) go on the global spell interval. They can no longer be cast instantly right after a swing.
  • War Leap: max-rank damage drops by 70 (from 400 to 330). Lower ranks are reduced by the same proportion.

Paladin

With the Assassin’s strength, the Paladin has gradually lost some of its potential, so we are restoring it by recovering its magic power relative to its semi-magic rival.

  • Heal (max rank): restores 430 (down from 450) and costs 42% mana (up from 40%).
  • Hammer of Justice: cost drops from 45% to 43% mana.
  • Purify: cost drops from 24.5% to 23% mana.

Mage

All heals are being reduced.

  • Heal (max rank): restores 430 (down from 450) and costs 42% mana (up from 40%).

Assassin

All heals are being reduced.

  • Heal (max rank): restores 430 (down from 450) and costs 42% mana (up from 40%).

🎨 Design improvements

We have redesigned the character creation and character select screens, with a clearer lobby look. You pick race, class, gender, and face while your character stands in the center; on character select, your characters appear in a grid, with their equipment and clan name.

We have also reworked the top-right HUD (shortcuts, gold, and menus): icons and text are now much sharper.
